about

You either love The Disabled's second album "Keep Their Day Jobs" or you hate what produced when the trio dived into their most experimental period. Self released under Mob Front Records, the band's grass roots record company, this thirteen song follow up to their debut album was engineered primarily by the band's drummer AS who had recently just begun to record. His equipment and recording abilities, at the time, were both novice forming the album's production which varies from the quaintly interesting to the exceedingly over worked. But regardless of recording quality, the album is in the tradition of all The Disabled's music focusing on heartfelt lyrics accompanied by powerful, energetic music though this practice may have been abandoned on the band's first satiric songs, Fletcher Puke has a Bass Coach and Sunshine Happy Rainbow. All in all "Keeping Their Day Jobs" is a interesting product from a band which always seemed pulled between several varying styles of music juxtaposing into a bridge between punk rock, indie and experimental.
